Bringing My Design Vision to Life in Houston: A Dream Shoot

Turning design ideas into reality is always a little nerve-wracking. But this time, I was extra anxious—I was collaborating with vendors in a new market, Houston. I had no idea how things would unfold, but looking back, I couldn't have asked for a better team of incredibly talented creatives. I was blown away by the outcome!

I wanted this shoot to exude elegance and showcase the beauty of the little details—because, honestly, we have a slight obsession with them. Take a look for yourself and see how it all came together!

The Venue: The Luminare

Let’s start with the venue: The Luminare. I had the chance to tour this stunning space a few months before the shoot, and when I walked in, it completely took my breath away. From the intricate details in the sidewalk to the soaring windows in the chapel, every corner of this place has been thoughtfully designed. It's truly a venue that elevates your wedding experience.

Located just north of Houston, The Luminare is surrounded by lush trees and even has a beautiful pond on-site. But beyond the natural beauty, what really stands out is the venue’s top-notch staff. They go above and beyond to ensure every detail is perfect, making sure the venue complements, rather than overshadows, the couple’s unique love story.

The Details: Stationery, Florals, Rentals & Attire

Now, let’s talk about those details. When it comes to stationery, flowers, rentals, and attire, we truly had it all—and I couldn't be more thrilled with how everything came together.

First up, the stationery. I’ve been a huge fan of You're Invited (based in Ohio) for a while, stalking their Instagram for inspiration. Their designs are so thoughtful and meticulously crafted, so when I finally reached out to collaborate, I was beyond excited when they agreed. And can we talk about these black acrylic invitations with gold-foiled envelopes? Pure perfection.

Next, the florals—where do I even begin? I met Eric at a venue open house, and his floral arrangements immediately caught my eye. When I showed him my vision for the shoot, he was just as excited as I was, and I could feel the nerves creeping back in. But Eric exceeded my wildest expectations. The arch he created with crisp white roses, baby’s breath, and lush greenery was nothing short of a floral dream. He truly brought my vision to life!

The Rentals: Dulce’s Gorgeous Selection

Let’s talk rentals. Dulce, the owner of this fabulous rental company, is an absolute gem. I visited their showroom a couple of weeks before the shoot to pull together my vision, and I was blown away by the variety of linens, flatware, and furniture they had available. We even had some custom pieces made to fit the color scheme we were going for, and everything arrived on time and in perfect condition. Seriously, who wouldn’t want a velvet living room in their wedding setup?

The Dresses & Suits: Truly Show-Stopping

And now, onto the attire. Every time I go wedding dress shopping, it makes me want to get married all over again (to the same man, of course—but that’s a story for another time!). This time, we were lucky enough to borrow two stunning dresses from Vivianne Antilier, a boutique located in the Heights neighborhood of Houston. Kelly, the owner, was a dream to work with, and the dresses were beyond breathtaking.

The first gown (details coming soon) was a showstopper with intricate lace and a delicate, romantic feel, while the second dress (details to come) had a more modern, sleek vibe. And let’s not forget the dapper suit by Kamran Bespoke—it was the perfect mix of classic tailoring and modern style. The models looked absolutely flawless in everything!

The Glam: Katie with KV Beauty

Now, onto the beauty team! Katie from KV Beauty completely nailed it. Without giving her any specific direction, she created not one but two stunning looks for our models: one a bit edgy and sultry, the other more classic and timeless. Both were perfect for the dresses, and Katie's ability to bring out the models' natural beauty was truly impressive.

The Photographer: Morgan Linzee Photography

Finally, saving the best for last—our amazing photographer, Morgan Linzee. I’m beyond thrilled to now call her a friend. Morgan was a joy to work with from start to finish, and the images she captured speak for themselves. If you’re looking for a photographer for your wedding or shoot, book her—you will not be disappointed. Just take a look at these stunning photos!

Wrapping It Up

For my first shoot in Houston, I could not be more thrilled with how everything turned out. From the venue to the florals, the dresses, and every little detail in between, it was a true labor of love. Huge thanks to all the talented vendors who made this vision come to life—you are all amazing, and I can’t wait to work with you again!

Here’s to many more beautiful shoots and collaborations in Houston!
